April 22, 2010 Okay...okay...I agree that we've been a little too much silent over the past weeks but that doesn't mean we've not been busy preparing the terrain for what is to come. We still don't have a debut date for the album ( although it's all done...) but we're working hard on that development. Believe us when we say that WE CAN'T WAIT for you to hear it ! The excitement is almost unbearable. Meanwhile...you can go and visit our NEW Official Forum ! Now that we're back home, we'll finish up the mix of the new album with Jef Fortin as soon as he gets back from his own tour. October 3, 2009 Already a week has passed since we left Montreal to start that monstrous adventure that is the European Progressive Nation Tour ! Having a most wonderful time with the bands, crew and fans! adrenaline rush won't stop for a couple of weeks now as we roam through all Europe with a mission in mind : finding the golden fleece and playing some music along the way of course... as we go.
We'll be finishing up the mixing process of the new album as soon as we get back home. In between, we'll be doing the Trois-Rivieres Metal Fest this year with Suffocation & Quo Vadis ! August 19, 2009 All the instruments have now been recorded a while ago and the mixing process should start in the next few days at JEF FORTIN's Badass Studio. Listening to what we've done, a word jumps out of the whole picture : Epic ! that we can't wait for you guys to hear what we've conceived this time.
We'll also start shooting a video for one of the new songs next week with an extremely motivated team. More news about that to come soon !

That's because the songs for our next album are in the final process of pre-production, in anticipation of the subsequent studio activities. Of course, you'll be notified when the real deal starts. November 16, 2008 Already 2 weeks into our European Tour...we thank everyone who welcomed us for the first time in France, Czech Republic, Germany and Netherlands ! Our time amongst you all has been most enjoyed !
The guys of Sebkha Chott are giving a hell of a show in addition to being extremely fine human specimens...and since they just released their newest cd, it could be a good idea for you to check them out !
Unfortunately we also bring news of woe...the shows in SANTANDER and LISBON have been canceled ( not by our own will...of course ). There's still some chances that the Lisbon show will be moved in another venue though, but we'll only know in the next few days.

September 04, 2008 The sweet smell of tar and ostrich is filling up our nostrils as we drive continuously in direction of the first show of our tour with those crazy Japanese avant-garde metallers included in the band SIGH. America, better lock up your sanity somewhere safe 'cos we're back and we'll waltz away with it, devour it and even play softball with it before you can even start saying "djan djan tiki tiki djan djan". That's how fast we are...

August 10, 2008 Only 3 weeks before we start to roam North America with the bands SIGH and ZIMMERS HOLE. We take advantage of this brief respite to create music and polish our bones so they'll be nice and shiny.

July 01, 2008 Thanks to everyone who gave us one of the most adrenaline-giving-overstimulating moment of our life at the Heavy MTL Fest in Montreal last June 21 ! The whole day has been a major success and the 22 500 people present should be given an award for surviving such a punishment by Mr. Sun. North America now has its own powerful metal fest that should be an annual event from now on!
We finally have some confirmed dates for our European tour in late 2008 with Sebkha-Chott! Some of those shows include a performance at Germany's Freak Parade with legendary band Magma...and a prog festival in Algeria with Pain of Salvation. The rest of the schedule is under confirmation process and should be revealed over the next weeks.

April 17, 2008 Montreal now has its own Outdoor Metal Festival !! In good European tradition, this huge event spread on 2 days called the "Heavy MTL Fest" should be an annual happening from now on. We're more than glad to be part of this musical orgy amongst such a distinguished line-up : IRON MAIDEN, Mastodon, Hammerfall, Symphony X, Three Inches of Blood, Type O Negative, Motley Crue, Shadows Fall, Overkill, Hatebreed, Anthrax, Priestess, Three Days Grace, Drowning Pool, Dethklok and Lauren Harris! On June 21 & 22 at the Parc Jean-Drapeau.

The Quebec TV show LES FRANCS TIREURS recently interviewed us and filmed our last show in Montreal for a special edition talking about the Metal scene! The show will first be broadcasted at 20h00 on February 27 on the Tele Quebec channel . For most of you who can't listen to it, I guess that a youtube version of the show will be appearing soon after...and maybe someone will be patient enough to put on some subtitles for those not initiated to the French language.
February 12, 2008 is approaching its end. It is with sadness that we parted ways with our Norwegian friends with whom we've had a lot of great moments in the past few weeks! May the holy Jack Daniels himself shine on you my friends... on the tour for causes of sickness. January 18, 2008 We already finished our first week of touring in the US and all is going well! assume that the coming month of non-stop touring with them shall be an enjoyable one. The show we were supposed to do yesterday in Hartford has unfortunately been canceled but you can be sure we'll be back eventually to give you a dose of musical wickedness.
The legendary Quebec TV show LES FRANCS TIREURS decided to dedicate one of their show to the Quebec Metal Scene and will pass a day with us, filming our next show in Montreal at the Foufounes Electriques on next January 23 !! For those in the Montreal area, come in great numbers and let's show them a good slice of madness !
Since we'll be touring a lot in the upcoming weeks, the Online store will be closed for an undetermined time until we set up a new system.

In A Flesh Aquarium has been released in Europe recently and it's already accumulating great reviews that we'll put online soon enough if my pancreas stops talking to me. I just hate it when my inner organs start to chat about the similitudes of Wagner and Chuck Norris or other stray ideas in the same vein.
On another note, we've been invited to the FMPM in Montreal on September 14, 2008. The show will air Saturday, Oct 27 on FOX 5 at 12:30am in New York. We recorded this piece of live footage in their studio last September.
Here’s some info about the show from their website : “Fearless Music is currently airing on network affiliates across the US. October 11, 2007 There’s new blood in our Online Store ! Actually there’s no blood but a lot of new models are now available. …now speaking of live debaucheries, we’re starting a short tour in the USA and Canada this Saturday… beginning with a performance at the Rock and Shock horror Festival/Convention with bands including: Type O Negative, Mushroomhead, Lordi,Dark Funeral and Naglfar. Will follow some shows with After Forever, Paradise Lost, Enslaved and Prong.
Note that the Toronto show with After Forever has been moved to the Funhaus.

We just got signed on a new label named Ascendance Records for Europe. Under license, In a Flesh Aquarium will finally be available all across the European territory for the first time. The initial 2,000 copies of the album will be presented in a limited edition double CD slipcase, the bonus CD featuring the "We, Invaders" EP and a completely exclusive instrumental track. The release date has been scheduled for this fall.
Ascendance Records is a new label funded by Lee Barrett (founder of Candlelight Records; former member of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, currently in TO-MERA) and A&R'd by Sam Grant (writer, promoter, broadcaster, interviewer for Sonic Cathedral online).

August 10, 2007 More dates have been added to the Tour section. Check them out, as there's a lot of new cities included in the Jan/Feb 2008 Tour. And as for the shows this year, some of the new ones are with bands including Enslaved, Sonata Arctica and Prong. Finally, the Katatonia show on 05/09/07 in Hartford has been canceled. June 4, 2007 Tilt your hats for no actual reasons ladies and gentlemen …here come some news…The couple of shows we were supposed to do with Virgin Black on June 17-18-19 and 20 have been canceled. We’re sorry about that…but we couldn’t do anything about the situation…but a last minute show has been organized in New York city on June 11 ( next Monday…with Australian labelmates Virgin Black, who are promoting their new album “Requiem - Mezzo Forte” ). The show will be held at the Lit Lounge and this time we assure you we won’t be turned back at the borders…we now have in our possession the soooooo precious paperwork the government needs for letting us come and play. We’re glad to be finally back in NYC after the two last misfortunes ( Jon Nödtveidt’s suicide and the cannibalistic episode with a un-cooperative and decidedly unlikable custom agent ). As for touring the US in a more complete fashion, be patient my friends…you’ll see us before the end of the year we promise !

After ten years of enjoyable companionship, we now officially announce that our violinist, le bateleur, will be leaving unexpect for good. October 15, 2006 We're extremely sorry for everyone who were supposed to be there and we promise we'll be back as soon as we can...you can't imagine how much we were looking forward that show....anyway....now we'll try to clarify some details with the American embassy to see what really happened on that fateful encounter and to nullify the blotches they created on our personal cases. October 3, 2006 The tour is now completed and it was closed in beauty with the Montreal release show ! Thanks to everyone who came and showered us with unbelievable energy ! The Theatre Plaza was full packed and we had the greatest time of all timestly time ! And I want to mention the great human beings whose companionship illuminated this tour, everyone in Foxy Shazam and Tub Ring.

First of all, the french version of the site will be released in a couple of days. In addition to its haemoglobin flavoured tint and its demented dolls population, the new incarnation of the website is definitely more functional than before and shall be updated more frequently. And we would like you to know that no poet/words dispenser have been sequestrated or harmed while creating this site.
